Investo's verdict, shared with you
No fair value published
The derivation ran and was refused by our own plausibility checks — so we publish no number rather than a plausible-looking one.
Why
The derivation failed our plausibility check
The computed value landed outside the 0.4×–2.5× band that real price targets occupy. A result that far from the traded price means one of our inputs is wrong, not that the market is wrong by that much — so we publish nothing rather than clamp it into range.
What we would need
- A per-share input (earnings or book value) that reconciles to the latest audited totals.

Rejected figure · ₦7.06 — ceiling — raw base ₦7.06 is 2.82x price. This figure is shown only to document what was refused; it is not an estimate and no upside is computed from it.
Failed plausibility rail · Fair value hit our plausibility bounds: ceiling — raw base ₦7.06 is 2.82x price. The published base is the rail, not a derivation.
Austin Laz & Company Plc is a micro-cap industrial goods shell in early-stage operational resuscitation, having recommenced activity exclusively under its Engineering division with H1 2026 turnover of ₦27.2m and near-breakeven H1 PBT of ₦246k — a marked improvement from H1 2025 losses of ₦8.99m, but off an extremely low base relative to its ₦2.70bn market capitalisation. The company carries a large, largely inert balance sheet (total assets ₦1.43bn, equity ₦1.38bn, BVPS ₦1.28) that dwarfs current earnings capacity, and a pending ₦2.1bn capital raise at ₦5.00/share introduces material dilution and structural uncertainty. At ₦2.50/share, the stock trades at a modest 1.95x book on independent data source data (P/B 1.92x) but its negative FY2025 ROE (-1.18%), negligible revenue run-rate, and single active division render any fundamental valuation largely speculative at this stage.
